Title : Ode to humanityIt is a poem which attempts to show the milestones in the
History of Mankind and to draw lessons therefrom which are relevant in the
modern context. The book is based on the doctrine of selfless action
propounded in Bhagavad Gita.The book is a song from the dawn of time to the end of the second millennium. He has traced the Human Heritage in verse and he penned this
thinking that a short poem may serve his purpose better than a big one. The
poet has recalled the important milestones in human heritage. Starting from
the Big Bang theory, the author takes the reader through the initial caveman
to the signing of the Magna Carta, from the birth of religions through
renaissance to the scientific revolution. He has also tackled the industrial
revolution, the world wars and has ended by expressing a future of hope and
joy.

Shri Satishchandra Dattatray Mohile was selected to the IRS in 1964. He is the Chairman of the Central Board of Excise and Customs and also worked for over a year as a Member(Technical) in the Customs, Excise and Gold (Control) Appellate Tribunal. Though a student of law and science he is interested in literature and religion.
